Exams for Nursing School Admission

Aspirants can choose from the Top Nursing Colleges in India or the Top Nursing Colleges in their own state. Then seek for the entrance exam that you will need to take in order to be admitted to that particular college. Aspirants can apply for national entrance exams such as AIIMS, JIPMER, SAAT, AJEE, AUAT, and others.

Admissions Procedure

  • Admission to nursing programmes is solely dependent on entrance exams taken between April and June. Candidates have the option of filling out the application form online or offline.
  • Candidates must go to the administrator website of the relevant entrance exam and fill out the required information. After that, you must take a printout of the completed form. The printout, along with the required documentation and a check for the stated amount, must be sent to the appropriate test body.
  • For the offline process, candidates must obtain the form and brochure from the exam conducting organization or specified centers and then complete the formalities.

Criteria for Eligibility

  • With an aggregate of 45 percent, B.Sc Nursing 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective.
  • 10+2 passed from AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent board with AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent board with AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent board
  • The student must be in good health.
  • Admission will be based on a minimum and maximum age of 17 and 35 years old, respectively.

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing

  • GNM Passed and Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife (RN, RM) with the State Nursing Registration Council.
  • Candidate must be 17 years old on December 31st of that year and not more than 35 years old.

GNM

  • 10+2 passed, preferably with a 40 percent aggregate in Science (PCB) and English.
  • 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health Care Science – Vocational stream only, passing out from a recognised Board under
  • AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent Board
  • Admission will be based on a minimum and maximum age of 17 and 35 years, respectively. ANM/LHV has no upper age limit.
  • The State Nursing Registration Council has me registered as an ANM.
