Karnataka Surya Raitha Scheme: Application Form, Eligibility & Benefits

Karnataka Surya Raitha Scheme 2021

The Karnataka Surya Raitha scheme was established to assist those people who are having problems to supplying power to their fields. This program will be tremendously advantageous to all farmers who are struggling to get power generation in their new fields and crops due to the costly electricity bills.

All farmers in the state of Karnataka will receive new solar-based power generation, allowing them to earn higher wages and produce better crops. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, farmers are the most affected sector of the economy. A large number of farmers were also seen protesting the agricultural bill.

Benefits Of Surya Raitha Karnataka 2021

Surya Raitha Plan will be dispatched by the Karnataka government to provide solar pump sets to ranchers. In order to generate excess energy, the state government will replace the current water system pump sets with these sun-based water pumps. Similarly, on January 19, 2019, the administration deployed this approach in Kanakapura as a pilot project. The Karnataka government will replace 310 IP sets with solar-powered water pump sets in the first stage.

These solar-powered pumps are capable of pumping 1.5 times the amount of water as existing IP pump sets. Furthermore, these pumps will generate 1/third of the total energy generated by the nearby power grid. Previously, in FY 2014, the state government announced this proposal to meet ranchers’ requirement for midday power.

Karnataka Surya Raitha Scheme 2021 (Working)

Ranchers benefit from the Karnataka Surya Raitha Plan since they don’t have to turn on their IP Sets at night for water system needs. As a result, solar-powered water pumps take into account the force and the amount of water wasted. The Karnataka government will carry out this plan using funds raised from a combination of ranching ventures, Focal and State Government support, and cautious advances from Bangalore Power Flexible Organization (BESCOM).

The advance will be repaid by BESCOM at the cost of excessive vitality traded in the matrix. BESCOM will store the surplus amount in the ranchers’ financial balance after the advance money has been recovered. The compensation time period will be associated with 12 to 14 years as the measure of created power, and its utilization will be measured in this time frame.

Objective

For the successful implementation of this pilot project, the Karnataka government will establish the “Harobele Surya RaithaVidyuthchakthiBalakedararaSanghaNiyamitha Society.” The primary responsibility of this group is to collect instalments from BESCOM and distribute them to the ranchers. This new scheme announced by the involved authorities would result in an increase in agrarian creation.

During the day, there will be a sufficient, steady, and flexible force. Ranchers will also have a steady stream of income, even if the weather isn’t cooperating. This strategy eliminates the requirement for ranchers to receive vitality endowment. Furthermore, the use of a solar-powered water pump will reduce BESCOM’s infrastructure costs as well as their interest and specialized losses.
