CoWIN Vaccine Certificate Correction – Rectify Errors in the Certificate

India is racing towards becoming with the number of people getting vaccinated. Indian government and agencies are working hard to make vaccines available to every citizen of India.

At this moment Indian government has approved three vaccines for use in protection from Covid-19, two-dose vaccines Covishield, Covaxin and single-dose Sputnik once you have completed the vaccination you are issued a certificate as proof of vaccination.

You can download the vaccination certificate from different sources and check for the errors of any kind, such as name, gender, date of birth, address and passport details. CoWIN portal also lets you correct the details of your family members added to you.

How to correct the errors in Vaccination Certificate

To correct the errors on my vaccination certificate you need to follow the following steps:-

  • Open the official website of CoWIN on your browser cowin.gov.in.
  • On the login/sign-in page enter your registered mobile number and OTP sent on your mobile.
  • Once you have successfully logged in to the portal look for raise an issue and click on it.
  • Click on the member’s name for whom details you want to correct.
  • Click on the correction certificate tab and enter the correct details such as name, address, gender, D.O.B or passport details.
  • Click on the continue button and then submit button.

Once your request is submitted with the portal you can download the updated certificate.

Please note:- Make sure you enter the details carefully when doing the correction in the vaccination certificate.

Verification of Covid Vaccination Certificate

You can also verify your vaccination certificate in few easy steps:-

Step 1:- Open the CoWIN App from your mobile.

Step 2:- Log in to the CoWIN Portal using your mobile number and OTP.

Step 3:- Click on the verify certificate button.

Step 4:- This action will open the camera on your device then you can scan the QR code on your vaccine certificate.

Step 5:- If your certificate is valid then the site will show ‘certificate successfully verified’ or if not then in that case it will show an Invalid certificate.
