Arundhati Swarn Yojna
Arundhati swarn yojna is an initiative taken by the government of Assam to help the girls who belong from a financially sound family, Assam Government has decided to launch the scheme to give 10gm of gold to the girl who is getting married for this the girl has to register her marriage and apply for the scheme online. The Arundhati swarn yojna was started in January 2018 by the government of Assam to help the families of the girl child with sound economic conditions when they chose to register their marriage. This scheme will cost 700 crores to the taxpayer.
Objective
The main objective of Arundhati swarn yojna Assam is to improve the number of marriage registration in the state which is very poor, this will also benefit the family of the girl who will get financial aid from the government of Assam for the marriage of their girl. Usually, economically sound families have to take loans for the marriage this scheme will also improve the situation of the girl child in the state.

How to Apply
To apply for the Arundhati swarn yojna Assam bride have to fill out an online application form and submit it with all the necessary documents. Below are the steps on how to apply for Arundhati Swarn Yojna online.
- Open the official website arundhati.nic.in on your web browser.
- Homepage of the website will open navigate to the citizens section and click on it a drop down list will open.
- Chose apply online on this list, you will be navigated to a new window where you can fill out the application form you can also change the language of your choice.
- Fill out all the required fields.
- Attach all the required documents.
- Enter the captcha at the bottom and submit the application.

2. You will be provided with a unique application number for any future reference. Keep it safe somewhere to check the status of your application.
Documents Required
- Adhaar card.
- Proof of age.
- Identity proof.
- Residential proof.
- Bank account details/ passbook or bank account.
- Marriage registration certificate.
- Certificate signed by the mouzdar or gaonburah of the village.
Eligibility Criteria
- The bride and groom should be 18 years and 21 years of age respectively.
- This should be the first marriage of the bride.
- The annual income of the bride’s family should be less than 5 lakhs annually.
- The bride should have a passed 10th standard excluding the tribes and tea picking families.
- The bride should be a permanent resident of Assam.
- The bride should have a bank account for the transfer of the scheme benefits.
- This scheme is for newlyweds only.
- Mouzdar or gaonburah will sign the certificate to prove it the first marriage of the bride.
- The application form is filled in correctly with all the required documents attached.
Note:- Once the application is approved by the department of revenue and disaster management Assam the money equivalent of 10gm of gold will be transferred into the account of the beneficiary.
